Let´s Talk About: Gender-Based Violence

Together, we can create movement towards a world of no gender-based violence. You can be a part of it.
You are welcome to join a free workshop on gender-based violence, with a focus on domestic violence and masculinity, held by Uppsala Kvinnojour and MÄN Uppsala. All students, staff and friends are very welcome to join, and there will even be some Fika! The event will be held in English.

Uppsala Kvinnojour is an independent, feminist association that has been working towards peace for all women* since 1981. They offer support for women* and children who have experienced violence of various kinds, and they spread the message that gender-based violence is a structural issue within society.

MÄN Uppsala is campaigning for an equal Uppsala and world, without violence. They believe that we urgently need to tackle destructive masculinity-norms to stop men´s violence. Through e.g. workshops and lectures, they aim to engage boys and men to take more responsibility for care-work, and to question masculinity.
