The International & Master Committee (IMC) welcomes exchange and master\u2019s students from all over the world to their new adventure here at SLU. We plan, prepare, and organize welcome weeks and buddy (mentorship) programs for new international and master\u2019s students within the Student Union\u2019s area of activity. This is done in close collaboration with the Minion Committee (SMK), the Buddy Committee (Fadderiet), and Jynseriet, as well as other relevant committees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In addition, we are responsible for providing international and master\u2019s students with practical information and support, while also organizing many fun activities. The focus of our activities is to get to know Uppsala and Sweden, as well as to meet other international and Swedish students. Some examples of activities we have organized in the past include hikes, pub crawls, barbecues, and the amazing trip to Lapland. Furthermore, the committee works to involve international and master\u2019s students in the Union\u2019s activities and operations throughout the year, and serves as a contact point and sounding board for master\u2019s coordinators in the study councils when needed.
