Ultuna Campus is located about 5 km south of central Uppsala. It takes roughly 20 minutes to cycle from the city center to Ultuna. Finding accommodation in Uppsala can be a bit tricky, but hang in there\u2014a solution may be just around the corner. Here are some tips from us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Many students at SLU Ultuna live on campus, in the areas of G\u00e4lbo and Kron\u00e5sen. The landlord there is the Ultuna Student Housing Foundation (SUSbo), which was founded by the Union.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As a member of Ultuna Student Union (or another SLUSS union), you have the opportunity to live in SUSbo\u2019s housing. You do not need to be a union member to join the housing queue. However, to be offered accommodation, sign a contract, and live in SUSbo housing, you must be a union member\u2014so we recommend maintaining membership throughout your time in the queue.\n\nIf you have not yet started your studies but still wish to join the queue, that is also possible. To live in SUSbo housing, you must also be an active student (i.e., complete at least 15 credits per semester), and you are required to present your study results when requested by SUSbo. Both study results and union membership are checked continuously during the semesters.\n\nThe requirement to be a union member in order to live in SUSbo housing applies to everyone who has signed a contract after January 1, 2015.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
To apply for housing, you need to be registered in SUSbo\u2019s housing queue. You can find more information about it and how to apply at SUSbo's own webpage: www.susbo.se.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n Close to Ultuna, you\u2019ll also find \u201cLilla Sunnersta,\u201d a residential area for students. It is Uppsala Akademif\u00f6rvaltning<\/a> who is responsible for these.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Most student nations have centrally located housing in the form of corridor rooms, doubles, and apartments. Only actively studying members of the nation can apply. Waiting times and the number of available rooms or apartments vary from nation to nation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n The housing company Graflunds has purchased a few rental properties in Vals\u00e4tra\/Gottsunda. They are eager to rent to students. They offer student rooms in doubles as well as 1\u20135 room apartments. Manages Studentstaden with around 4,300 residences across the more central areas of Uppsala. In central Uppsala, there is the Nykterhetsv\u00e4nnernas studenthem, primarily intended for students who have taken a pledge of sobriety.
