In central B\u00e5stad on the salt-sprayed west coast lies ULS\u2019s own little vacation house: Aron's House. The house was donated to the Union by Aron and Paola Westerlund in 1975. Aron, with the Union name BUDDHA, was one of Ultuna\u2019s prominent professors in animal anatomy and physiology and also served as the Union\u2019s inspector from 1934-1949.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The house was built at the end of the 18th century and has been renovated several times. Much of the old charm remains alongside modern amenities such as a shower, refrigerator, and electric heating. There are three bedrooms with a total of eight beds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The kitchen is fully equipped. You may use the fireplace, but you must bring your own firewood. The house now also has WiFi! The plot is large and spacious, and outdoor furniture is available for both the balcony and veranda\/garden. Finally, the central location is almost unbeatable, with approximately 150 meters to the sea and about 200 meters to Pepe\u2019s Bodega.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since the Union took over the house, many Ultuna students have spent a weekend or vacation week there, something warmly recommended by all who have stayed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Booking Rules and Prices<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

From January 1st, price class 1 can book the house. For price classes 2 and 3, booking opens on March 1st. Booking is on a first-come, first-served basis for all classes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Arons Hus can be booked by members and supporting members of the Ultuna and Alnarp student unions, as well as employees at SLU. The house is mainly rented on a weekly basis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

No pets are allowed when renting and staying at Arons Hus.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cancellations <\/strong>should be made as soon as possible to the booking manager. For cancellations of summer or peak-season weeks, this must be done before May 1st. A cancellation fee of 100 SEK applies. Cancellations after May 1st will incur a charge of half the rental fee. For refunds during other times, cancellations must be made at least two weeks before the rental period begins.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
