Dog kennels - A benefit for members!<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

K9 is the Union\u2019s dog committee, responsible for managing ULS dog runs. Since 2015, 14
dog kennels have been available for rent through Ultuna Student Union. These dog kennels are
located behind Friskis & Svettis Ultuna. See the map and pictures of the dog kennels further
down the page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To rent a dog kennel, you must be a full member of Ultuna Student Union.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

General Information About the Dog Runs<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The number of dogs allowed in each kennel depends on their size. The dog kennels are 21 m\u00b2. According to Chapter 10, Section 4 of the Swedish Board of Agriculture\u2019s regulations and general advice on keeping dogs and cats (Saknr. L 102), only one dog over 55 cm in height at the withers is allowed per kennel. Dogs under 55 cm may share a kennel with another dog under 55 cm. For more information on rules regarding the number of dogs per run, visit the Swedish Board of Agriculture\u2019s website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The dog kennels are equipped with dog houses and raised beds. About one-third of the run is covered. You may furnish the kennel further with, for example, blankets, straw, toys, or similar items. We prefer that your dog has quiet toys (no squeaky toys, etc.) to reduce noise and increase comfort for the other dogs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Who can join the waiting list for a dog run?<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n

To join the waiting list, you must be at least a supporting member of Ultuna Student Union. It is okay to join the list even before starting your studies at SLU. Members of VMF can also join the list but must have a supporting membership in ULS. Full members of ULS are prioritized first on the waiting list. Due to long waiting times, VMF members are encouraged to join the VMF dog kennels first, which can be done here: https:\/\/vmf.se\/for-medlemmar\/hundgardar\/<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

How do I join the waiting list?<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n
