You have RIGHTS! Probably quite often, but maybe mostly without even realizing it. There are laws in Sweden (the Higher Education Act, the Higher Education Ordinance, the Work Environment Act, etc.) that, together with the universities\u2019 own rules and guidelines, provide support during your studies. You have the right to complain and demand improvements\u2014for example, if your exam is held orally instead of in writing as stated in the course syllabus, if course evaluations are not conducted or compiled, or if your examiner refuses to provide past exams, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
If you encounter problems with courses that have poor administration, examiners who mishandle grading or other issues that affect your studies, you can contact Ultuna Student Union for advice, help, and support. The Vice President responsible for education at the union is happy to answer questions and can advocate on your behalf when needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
1.<\/strong> The schedule and course literature must be available on the course website 4 and 8 weeks before the course starts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 2.<\/strong> Grading must be completed within 15 working days after the exam date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 3.<\/strong> Exam results must be communicated at least 10 working days before the corresponding re-exam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 4.<\/strong> You have the right to obtain a copy of your written exam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 5.<\/strong> Students arriving more than 30 minutes after the scheduled start time are not allowed to take the exam, and no students may leave the exam room until 30 minutes of the exam has passed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 6.<\/strong> After two failed exam attempts in the same course, you have the right to change your examiner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 7.<\/strong> Grading criteria must be available in writing no later than at the start of the course. These criteria are binding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 8.<\/strong> As a rule, no exams are held between Christmas and New Year or in July.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 9.<\/strong> Mandatory course components may, as a rule, not be moved or added to the schedule.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 10.<\/strong> When you pass a course or exam, the result must be reported in Ladok within 3 working days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Dina r\u00e4ttigheter – 10 saker du b\u00f6r veta som student Du har R\u00c4TT!
